I specialize in navigating substance use concerns, whether it involves alcohol, cannabis, opioids, tobacco, or something else. My approach is compassionate, practical, and grounded in the most current evidence-based treatments. I understand that substance use serves a purpose in someone’s life—such as coping with stress, pain, trauma, or difficult emotions—and I work with you to address those reasons with the substance use simultaneously. Treatment may include motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral strategies, contingency management, positive psychological interventions, harm-reduction strategies, and coping skills, whatever that might look like for a client. My goal is not simply to reduce substance use, but to help clients build meaningful, stable lives.
In addition to substance use, I work with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep difficulties, chronic pain, emotion regulation challenges, and co-occurring mental health conditions. I have training in multiple evidence-based approaches, including CBT, ACT, DBT skills, exposure therapies, and trauma-focused treatments, which allows me to tailor care to each person’s unique needs and goals. I always aim to create a collaborative, respectful space where growth feels achievable and grounded in science. If I am not equipped for your goals for therapy, I will tell you and happily provide recommendations so you can get the treatment you deserve.
