Understanding your story means understanding your experiences—how you think, how you learn, and how you experience the world. When something feels confusing, overwhelming, or uncertain, an assessment can clarify what’s happening and guide our next steps. They help us understand what’s happening beneath the surface so our treatment can be precise, personal, and effective.
Assessments answer specific questions: Is this ADHD? Is this anxiety? Is something else contributing to the problem? At other times, they reveal strengths and abilities we have yet to fully recognize. Either way, the goal is clarity for you and me—not categorization. I have seen time and time again how someone’s scary mental health experiences lose their fear when people see that 1) there’s a name for what they experience, and 2) there’s a path forward. There's always a name and a path forward.
I offer structured diagnostic evaluations using well-established tools like the SCID, DIAMOND, ADIS, and other DSM-5 interviews. I can provide diagnoses, guide treatments, or support school, workplace, or medical accommodations. Throughout the process, you’ll always know what we are doing and why. Assessment, at its core, is a collaborative exploration. You bring your lived experience. I bring the tools to help make sense of it. Together, we use those insights to create a clear path forward.
