New Ideas? Resistance. Breakthroughs? Dismissal. Challenging Expertise? Ridicule.

This Time, We Get to Keep the Conversation Going

Walk With Me & the Greatest Scientific Minds: Hear Their Lessons & See Their Vision

The truth is, breakthroughs rarely come from playing it safe.

Real change in science happens when we're willing to question what everyone takes for granted.

What goes unchallenged.

A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.

Max Planck

History has shown over and over again that new ideas don’t emerge smoothly or quietly. They tend to shake things up, disrupt the status quo, and face a ton of backlash before anyone realizes, “Oh, maybe this actually makes sense."

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Arthur Schopenhauer

That’s why these quotes resonate so deeply with me and hopefully for you too. We can all feel the need for major changes. These scientists remind us that standing firm in the face of resistance isn’t just courageous - it’s unavoidable to obtain meaningful change.

I was taught that the way of progress was neither swift nor easy.

Marie Curie

Max Planck knew that scientific progress came from inspiring new thinkers. Thomas Kuhn saw that paradigm shifts don't happen step-by-step but instead require an entire reimagining of what's possible. Asimov, Sagan, Einstein, Schopenhauer - they all understood that questioning, challenging, and even being misunderstood is just part of pushing science forward.

When we question everything, even our most cherished assumptions, that's when science is doing its best work.

I believe our ideas will withstand.

Let's talk and work this all out together.

All that was great in the past was ridiculed, condemned, combated, suppressed — only to emerge all the more powerfully, all the more triumphantly from the struggle.

Nikola Tesla

Keep the Conversation Going...

It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.

Thomas Kuhntein

Engage Directly with the Ideas: Thoughtful comments on articles, insights shared on social media, and participation in research discussions all help refine and strengthen ideas. Every question, every critique, has the power to sharpen perspectives and drive innovation. If you’re nervous about speaking out, start with my articles and projects - I encourage it.

It seems to me what is called for is an exquisite balance between two conflicting needs: the most skeptical scrutiny of all hypotheses that are served up to us and at the same time a great openness to new ideas.

Carl Sagan

Ask Tough Questions: Don't hesitate to thoughtfully question established beliefs when they don’t quite sit right with you. Sometimes, it's those straightforward, seemingly simple questions, when you sense something is not quite right, that lead to the most profound insights and breakthroughs. We can open doors to new perspectives, spark critical thinking, and drive innovation. Your curiosity and willingness to ask can be the catalyst for transformative ideas.

Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.

Stephen Hawking

Think Broadly: We’re all in this together. Science, social issues, progress - none of these thrive in isolation. When we bring our questions, experiences, and perspectives to the table, we create a powerful collective force. We’re part of something bigger, and together, we can make a meaningful impact.

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.

Albert Einstein

Remember this: It doesn't matter what degrees you hold, what expertise you bring, or what qualifications line your resume. If you're here, engaging in these discussions, you have something valuable to offer. I have seen it time and time again. Your voice, your perspective, your experiences - each idea and perspective you offer adds depth and richness that no title or credential can replicate. We're all in this together, and every contribution matters.

Speak up, call experts out when they get something wrong (including me), share your insights, and know that you're making a real impact.

Know that we are making a real impact.

There are individuals who can support you, but frequently, you have to risk putting yourself out there - and sometimes you just have to push.
